I would like to nominate my best friend from high school, Robin. Robin is a single mom to triplets, not by choice, but by tragedy. When her daughters were 15 months old, her husband was killed in an automobile accident. She has struggled financially and emotionally with raising these girls and is doing a great job. Her daughter, Caitlyn, was born with spina bifida and has endured dozens of surgeries. Her daughter Bailey, was born with a hole in her heart and had to have surgery to repair it. Her daughter, Alexis, was attacked by the family dog and has had to have plastic surgery to minimize the scars on her face. Robin has taken each of these girls, to all of their doctors' appointments. She has held their hands and stayed strong during all of these scary times. She's an amazingly strong lady. I'm truly proud of her. Who would have thought, when I met her 27 years ago, that between us, we would have 5 beautiful daughters and that she would be an incredible mother.
