Our Simple Easter Highlights

Why Hello Easter.

We sure had fun yesterday, didn't we.
Good food, good friends, good family, good times.

Because I have an awesome family,
who always picks up my slack,
Easter was "delivered" to my home this year.
In other words, Easter was potluck style.
From the appetizers, the main course
even down to the the decorations.
I just had to make sure my home was clean.
...somewhat clean, at least.

A few of the day's highlights:

#1. My Auntie Debbie's Woman's Day Magazine inspired Peeps centerpiece.

#2. My Auntie Debbie's Bunny cupcakes.

#3 My Momma's mouthwatering, Pioneer Woman, Jalapeno Poppers.
Holy cow people, these are life altering good!

#4 Elmo Easter eggs--big hit with Baby W

#5 A mini edition to our Woody collection.

#6 Observing a toddler develop coordination.

#7 Lots of relaxation.

#8 Swing time with Auntie.

#9 Remembering our Savior, the reason.

What was your Easter highlight?
Or Passover highlight?
Or Sunday highlight?
I like highlights.

I've been wanting to try the Pioneer Woman's jalapeno poppers. Look delicious. I've only ever had the fast food kind.

Okay Ashley,

My name is Angelina and I'm a first timer to actually leave a comment on your blog! I've been following it for weeks now, and I just love it!
We seem about the same age, and our boys are almost exactly the same age! He was born july 29, 09. I found your blog through the pleated poppy- who I still read- but I really love your blog because of the same adventures in mommyhood! :) Your little man is such a lady killer, I bet!
We have the sleeping in bed with us issue too, as well as alot of other stuff. I enjoy the expressions on your boy's face, because I see those expressions on my 21 month old. :)
Anyways, wanted to post because I love the little shirt/vest combo he wore on Easter. :)
Keep up the blogging! Loving it!
-Angie

Beautiful! I'm glad you had such a lovely Easter. My Passover highlights:

1. Excellent discussion at the LGBT student seder I organized this year
2. Excellent discussion at the feminist student seder I organized this year
3. Wonderful seder with my friends -- it's nice to have one that meets my own spiritual needs when I've been busy coordinating meaningful seders for students :-)

Funny-- we have ALL of those Woody toys too-- PLUS some. It's kinda ridiculous my son's Toy Story obsession. Although I'm sure we're only perpetuating it by throwing him a Toy Story birthday party next month. :)
