Vertically Challenged and a Whole Lotta Yellow

What I Wore

These photos turned out grainy. Maybe a photo expert can tell me why?

I love this purse so much, I kiss it a few times a day {true story}.
Dress: Victoria's Secret catalog, Cardigan: Gap, Belt: Forever 21, Shoes: Target, Purse: c/o Hobo International, Watch: Fossil Outlet, Necklace: c/o Lisa Leonard Designs, Nail Polish: OPI the "it" color.
So are you now noticing my height in relation to the couch?
And is it making you realize just how short I really am?
And now you're wondering my exact height.
So this is where I tell you that I am 4'10 and 3/4.
And you're like: woah, I no idea she was that short
And I'm like: Yeah I am, and I don't even need a special seat to drive.
And you're like: Ok, cuz I was just about to ask that.
And I'm like: Enough about my height--what about all the different shades of yellow I am trying to incorporate into this outfit.
And you're like: Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but now that you mention it...

You're the perfect height for me!!!
We snuggle well together ;)

They're grainy cause your ISO is too high. BRING ME YOUR MANUAL AND I WILL FIX IT FOR YOU! I'm subtle, aren't I?

I love the shades of yellow. And I love your throw pillows...even though I'm not normally a fan of throw pillows!
Do you think I could pull off the "white couch" with four young daughters? Hmmm...

Girl you & I could be besties.
I'm 4'10" as well :)
Thought I was 4'11" for years & I'm just under.
You are A-dorable!!!

LOL - I love this post! Too funny. My sister is 5'2 with shoes on and when I {5'7"} went over to her house I had to smile at her kitchen: NOTHING was on the top shelves of her upper cupboards - because she couldn't reach. :) But, I guess the grass is always greener because I always wanted to be short. :)
PS - I also have to say I love your style! :) I'm a mustache necklace owner & I have those same yellow shoes!! :):) Have a great day!
xo, Reannah

One can never wear too much yellow. ALSO: one shade is just never enough. i found that "it" color last time i went in for a pedi & mani...but i was nervous to try it out (apparently i don't follow my own yellow rules ;-) but you rock it and you rock that "small stuff" too!

I love your style! I've been searching for something cute in yellow but haven't found anything yet. Off to look around your blog more! Your newest follower, Jenn :)

OH my gosh.. im cracking up over that "convo" between "us" hahahaha

You are seriously too cute... and funny too. :) Thank you for that. I needed a laugh.

OH and here is a funny for you. Did you know you that the height for a legal midget is 4'10? You miss that by just 3/4! haha I say this, NOT to make fun of you.. but because my baby sister (well she isnt a baby she is 21.. but I still call her my baby sister lol) is 4'10 and we joke about it all the time that she is a legal midget. :) haha

Anyways... LOVE all the yellow with the purple and grey. You are always gorgeous. :)

ohh i just love this room so much and the one of you sitting on the couch is so pretty! all the colors mesh so well against the white couch/walls :)

oh P.S. the grain comes from your ISO being too high most likely :) I generally try and shoot at 200 for the best quality!

I have exactly the same height as you!

In France, we say that everything that is small is cute. Well. We're cute ;) And we worth it!

Love the outfit! I've just started to get into yellow (:

A family friend of ours is a little shorter than you. One day when she was in the grocery a lady came up and asked her "How tall you is?" Just like that. Now that you've told us, I don't need to ask you ;)

Yellow is my absolute favorite, and I love all the pillows and artwork behind you!

At July 6, 2011 at 5:25 AM , Anonymous Jessica said...

Too cute :)

Your ISO on your camera was too high. If you're using it on Manual you'll just have a slight fix in the menu for that...it needs to be 400 or below for natural light photos. I will be you it was 800 or above on these. If you're using it on Auto without a flash then it corrected itself to try and overcompensate for the lack of light...either way, fixable :)

At July 6, 2011 at 5:30 AM , Blogger Unknown said...

I've only got 2 inches on you! Don't worry, confidence can make you seem a lot taller! You look at least 6ft to me! I love how the new living room looks! I wish I was brave enough for white. I still cringe about my tan couches!

At July 6, 2011 at 5:40 AM , Blogger Monica and Whitney said...

Oh! The dress! The Yellow! The hair! The pillow! I just love it all so much.

By the way. I love the white couch. I've always wanted one. But, I'm afraid to purchase one with children in my near future (no, that is not an announcement). Do you ever wish you didn't have a white couch with your little one running around?

Nothing wrong with a little purse smooching, right? I mean, if the purse is asking for it, who should judge?

Love this outfit. I knew I had eyeballed that dress before. I think it looks better on 4'10 than 6'.

Most days I'd rather be short then tall so work it girl! LOVE the pillows!

At July 6, 2011 at 6:29 AM , Blogger Hayley said...

I know you've heard by now that your ISO setting is what caused the grain, but if you drop it down, then it would probably be too dark in the photo....unless you had LOTS of natural light.

You are too cute and funny. I'm not much taller- just 5'1'' over here. There are certain advantages to being small though, such as feeling like a ninja in the supermarket when an aisle is crazy full and you can just walk in and squeeze past everyone. Or maybe that's just me ;)

Okay, so, the mini-conversation about your height totally made me giggle over here. You are adorable.

And I've been in love with those shoes for ages! Wish I could have snagged some from Target before they sold out. My puffy, pregnant feet need some new flats, yo.

Loving the colors in that floral pillow!!! And I love your dress, too.

Did your ISO get bumped up accidentally? That can cause noise. Aperture can come into play too. Do you know what f-stop you had it set at?

Love the set up of your living room. And will most likely be visiting your shop for some pillows in the very near future. I just moved as well, so once I figure out the color scheme for our living room I may need to get a couple of your awesome pillows!

My goodness you are adorable! I'm 4'10 and 1/2 however, I rarely wear flats I'm always wearing wedges. My husband cracks up because I even wear wedges to the park. Most everywhere but the gym. He's like even with three inch heals you are still petite why do you bother. Anyway, we should have a 5 foot and under club or blog where we could all collaborate on petite fashion. A bit like Cory's blog.
