Little Miss Momma: Do you remember?

Do you remember?

Do you remember the 80's and early 90's?

You've just gotta love family vacations...
Staying up late at night, gathered around the table together...
Talking about the most random topics imaginable...
And cracking yourselves up as you become delirious and slap happy...

These are the moments reserved for your closest friends and family members.
And while here at the Beach House--we enjoyed one of these moments.

And the topic at hand:

Memories from our childhood!

Since a majority of us are in our mid 20's to early 30's we shared a lot of the same memories.  And I thought to myself, surely many of you will have some of these memories too.

Are you ready to go back in time?

I was into some of those things in the 80's. By the 90's I was in my 20's so the 70's was more my childhood but these era's I remember b/c they were my sister's childhood.
Ah, good times!

Love, love, love it! I'm 31, so I remember ALL of those things.
Some others I remember are:
Mini Pops (the little kids singing group)
and.. putting safety pins in your jeans to make the pant legs tight!!
The more pins you could get up your leg, the better!

The fact that every single one of these is a memorable, influential, and quite a few embarrassing, part of my youth leads me to believe we must be close in age! I'm twenty-three. Am I right? Oh, nostalgia.

Scrunchies, The Labryinth, Chia pets! I absolutely love this post I had forgotten a lot of those things and memories came rushing back as I read along. Especially the caboodle which I owned as well as pogs and garbage pail kids I forgot about those. MASH? I totally played that game and it acutally took me a few minutes to remember how to play it and then it all came back. Thanks for the flashback!

Wow, I had forgotten about a lot of that stuff! Like the sticker books, mine was Lisa Frank. I remember I got that and a JTT (Johnathon Taylor Thomas) poster for my birthday and I was in heaven! Oh and crazy big print skorts! I would were them ALL THE TIME! Oh and you were always cool if your mom took you to glamour shots and had pictures taken. It was like you were a playground movie star!

Thank for the flashbacks! Awesome post!

Well, this was a walk down memory lane for me! I loved pegging my pants and wearing two pairs of slouches socks with my crimped hair in a banana clip! I was a bit old for NKOTB, I was a Duranie (sigh John Taylor!). I wanted to stack Swatch watches up my arm so badly, but Swatch was a bit out of our price range, so Jellies it was. And speaking of Jellies, I remember my feet bein Shredded by Jelly shoes but wearing them anyway because one must suffer for fashion!

I'm pretty much speechless right now.

BEST.
POST.
EVER.

:)

Seriously, this is just plain awesomeness in it's purest form.

I was born in 1986, so "ooooh"ed "awwww"ed and LAUGHED OUT LOUD at every single picture.

Is it okay that I chose trolls and pogs over barbies?

I think you forget one little thing.

What about brands like Esprit, Bennetton, Z Cavaricci, Gotcha and cartoons like Garfield and ALF? My husband is leaning over my shoulder reading this and wants me to put music groups like Depeche Mode, New order, A-ha, Def Leopard (pour some sugar on me) Poison and here's one of my old time fave's Bon Jovi.

I had completely forgotten about "Small Wonder" until I saw the photo of her. Wasn't her name Vicky???

I think I had about 50 Babysitters Club books.

Dinosaurs was a hilarious show, and I loved Ducktales, Alvin and the Chipmunks, My Little Ponies, She-Ra, and the Smurfs. :)
